Cadet -The Observatory (buy other Cadet albums) and Cadet Under A different name (Any Given Day) Cadet is a Christian Punk Rock/Pop band with a lot of catchy tunes, many relatable, fun songs are on their 2002 album, Observatory. From the rocking beginning to the soft middle, then rocking middle end, then soft end, this album will leave you wanting more. Song number one is titled "Nobody" and it's got a great beat and catchy tune. The lyrics are great. It's basically about how nobody is gonna be able to take us down. This song rocks pretty well, it's the type of song that you can play over and over and over....(and over) Song number two is called "Blame." The tune is catchy, the lyrics good. It's about blame and gossip. The artist points out how stupid it is to gossip about things and that maybe the reason for the problems in whatever the gossip is talking about, may be the fault of the gossip. In the end, gossiping doesnt do a bit of good. The song is interrupted briefly with unintelligible conversation, which is in turn interrupted simply with the word "what?" which basically sums up what it's about, don't listen to gossip because it's probably pretty far from the trouth. Song three is titled "Change My Name" It's about how we will be given a new name when we go to heaven. (Revelation 2:17) It's a song in anticipation to receiving that new name. This song is slower than the first two songs, but still good. Song four is titled "Call Me" it's a song to an old friend and memories that the artist had. It's about how the artist wants to hang out with that friend again before the friendship dies away. Song five is titled "Today." It's the artist asking why he waits to love God or his friend, it's unclear who he is singing to. Until the song goes "You say each day is like a thousand years, then why do I wait to love you?" That pretty much gives away that it's a worship song to God and the message is to love God now, don't put it off. Song six is called "High Tide." It's about how the artist wants to get carried away by God so to speak, to let God control him. And it's also a reminder that God knows your thoughts, another worship song, God is always there, always knowing what's going on. Also has a great na na na nanana na na solo. :) Song seven is called "Stuck in a Song." At this song, the pace is picked up with a song that is a bit louder than the previous few tracks. Go ahead and examine the Lyrics and figure out the meaning for yourself, for me it's simply a good sounding song with good Lyrics Song eight is titled "Two Stars." This song is the album's namesake, it's about how we realize how, though we may think we are great, we are not nearly as great as God. Song nine is titled "Cry to You." This is another one of the louder songs on the track, about how we should ask the Lord for help when we are knocked down. Great beat, energetic song with a catchy tune. Song ten is called "Come Alive." This song is where the album begins to slow down again. It's another worship song, absolutely beautiful. Song Eleven, the last track before the "Hidden" track, is called "Wishing Well" It's a song about regret, the message: don't worry about the past, the things that you regret are really no big deal.
