5. Dont like how all of your internet explorer windows are combined into one taskbar icon? right click your start button>click properties>click the taskbar tab at the top, then uncheck the "Group similar icons'' box.

7. Defrag your hard drive once in a while. Start>Programs>accessories>system tools>disk defragmentor. it can help improve performance. Close as many programs as possible when doing this, you can usually multitask in windows xp while defragmenting but in windows 98 it just keeps starting over.
